Welcome to Vintage Malaya....your source of information to the rich architectural and historical heritage of
Malaysia.
This web site is an attempt to capture photographs and highlight the heritage buildings, structures and sites
that exist in Malaysia today. This web site also aims at promoting awareness and interest in our rich
architecture or built heritage. Vintage Malaya welcomes any feedback, ideas or suggestions to improve this
web site and any individuals to send in their articles or thoughts on any heritage topics or issues which will
be published and duly acknowledged.
For the ease of navigation, the buildings and structures are categorised according to the states which they
are located in. If there are any buildings or structures not mentioned or even if there are any incorrect
information, please do contact us. I acknowledge that there are buildings or structures which are without any
information or detail to it, as such I would appreciate to receive any information on it.
Although I have not strictly adhered to any definition that exists out there on what constitutes a heritage
building or structure, most of the buildings you find here are at least built before the year 1940.
Currently, I have only managed to put up the buildings and structures of several towns and cities. Soon there
will be more buildings from all over Malaysia. So please check the web site regularly for updates. For now,
enjoy the web site and if you happen to know or come across any old building or structure and it is not
mentioned in this web site, please do inform us about it.
